Back in 2016 I was shown the breakfast room of the cosmopolitan hotel in Old Town and was given permission to move chairs and tables to make room for my darkroom and varnishing station. Every day and weekend my dad and I would move everything around under the watchful gaze of the two deer on the wall that I named, Nick and Dave, after my two photography mentors. Having my darkroom inside allowed people to be able to look through the window and watch me develop. We were there for a good 4 years before the pandemic happened and I had to stop for a full year.

Upon returning I we had my darkroom fully outside and my varnishing station inside. My dad and I would chase the light around the veranda creating images for people and the rest is history!

My father and I want to thank everyone that has came to see us in these 10 years. We also want to thank the people behind the curtain of the Cosmo for hosting us! We have watched people come and go and families grow. It has been an honor. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

While we may not be in our usual spot anymore, we are not quitting photography! I’m planning on opening my books around the holidays for private sessions at my home, and we are also available to travel.

I asked my dad if he has any words for the people; “ So long, and thanks for all the fish”
